Let me tell you a story...
When I (Hi it's me, Kelley ) started Treehouse Candle Co. last year, I knew exactly what needed to be the most important aspect of the product: THE SCENT.
So, being a candle lover and avid candle burner, I thought about what sort of scents I love; woody, fresh, tobacco-ish masculine, sweet-but-in-a-subtle-not-too-
I also knew that I was not going to copy my favorites or attempt to create any dooops (iykyk).

I launched in the Fall of 2022 and started with a Fall collection. Then a Winter Collection. During that time I created our signature scents. I knew I wanted something rugged, leathery, intriguing, and I got to work, attempting to create something that was appealing to both masculine and feminine sensibilities.
I discovered a few fragrances that I KNEW WERE RIGHT. Now, to just find the perfect ratios, blend, and name the thing.
This creation is what we know today as Ramble. It's truly one of my favorite fragrances...ever.

The Inspiration: My fiancé and I (and our daughter, now) love to hike. We love to be in nature, with our boots and our snacks and our bug spray. One of the things that drew me to Joe (my boo) was his love of the outdoors, his adventurousness, and his jacket.
WEIRD RIGHT? WHY A JACKET?
It smelled so good.
Like leather and experience and overuse (the thing was oldddd).
SO, when I created this fragrance blend, it reminded me of all those things from the beginning of our relationship. I like a rugged dude, ok?
It made me love it even more.

The name, RAMBLE.
I thought about the personality of this candle. The personality of someone who would enjoy it, someone who would relate to it, someone who would have memories or feelings of their own about the scent of it.
I am very inspired by music, so I decided to look there for some answers.
I started thinking of songs that could give me a better idea of this person, this personality.
Two songs came to mind:
Ramble on by Led Zeppelin and Ramblin Man by The Allman Brothers.
Each song has a different meaning, but that word stuck out to me: ramble.
In each song, the word describes a man who is on a quest (I believe there is some LOTR references in Ramble On, but don't quote me), someone who is leaving, searching for someone or something, on a journey of some kind.
IMMEDIATELY I KNEW
As soon as I put the word on the label and slapped it onto a tester candle, I was certain that this was the perfect name for my special little creation.

If you're a creative in any way (as we all are!), you know that feeling of certainty is rare. We question ourselves constantly. But not this time!
And so this is the story of how my little baby Ramble came to be.
I hope you enjoyed a little back story on one of my favorite creations.
